Cheer Fundamentals& Basic Tumbling
This class is geared toward the athlete who is ready to learn the basics of cheerleading in a fun-filled environment. This class will combine basic coordination with the fundamentals of cheerleading, utilizing games, drills, and exercises to help your child improve in motion technique, basic jump and tumbling technique. Emphasis is placed on balance, stretching, and flexibility. This class meets for 6 weeks on Tuesdays 5:00-6:00. Age 5-18.
Level 1Tumbling
Students are taught to hold body weight through handstands and different drills as well as the basic techniques needed to achieve such skills as forward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, back bends & back bend kick-overs. This class meets for 6 weeks on Tuesdays 4:45-5:40. Ages 5-up.
Level 2Tumbling
This class is designed to further the development of an athlete to achieve such skills as front walkovers, back walkovers, back handsprings as well as teach the basics of a round-off back handspring tuck. This class meets for 6 weeks on Tuesday 5:45-6:40. Ages 6-up.
Level 3/4Tumbling
This class is designed for the more advanced tumblers. We will focus on skills such as round-off back handspring tucks, standing tucks, BHS tucks & layouts. We will also focus on the advanced standing tumbling skills such as toe-touch back handspring and a toe-touch tuck. This class meets on Tuesdays 6:45-7:40. Ages 8-up.
PreschoolTumbling
Preschoolers love to run, jump, climb and roll. This class will focus on channeling that abundance of energy by using games & drills geared to teaching basic tumbling skills. This class meets on Thursdays 5:00-5:50. Age 3-5.
Layout/FullTumbling
This class is designed for the more advanced tumblers. We will focus on layouts, full twisting layout, standing 2-bhs layouts & standing tumbling skills such as toe-touch back handspring and a toe-touch tuck. This class meets for 6 weeks on Thursdays 6:00-7:00.
